This comprehensive course prepares candidates for municipal and national stationary engineer and boiler operator licensing examinations, including NIULPE and state-specific boards. Students will master high- and low-pressure boiler construction, combustion dynamics, feedwater chemistry, and thermodynamic auxiliaries in accordance with ASME codes and safety regulations. Through practical operational procedures and code review, learners build the technical competence required to operate central heating, power generation, and refrigeration plants safely and efficiently. Every lesson includes tutor notes, a video, a hands-on lab, exercises and a 12-question quiz you must pass at 80%, followed by a pooled final exam and free and paid practice tests. You will learn to

Identify, classify, and evaluate high- and low-pressure firetube and watertube boiler systems and their operational parameters.
Inspect, maintain, and test vital boiler trim including safety relief valves, water columns, and low-water fuel cutoffs in compliance with ASME and NFPA codes.
Calculate fuel-to-air combustion efficiencies and manage natural gas, oil, and draft systems while minimizing emissions.
Execute feedwater conditioning, internal water chemistry testing, blowdown schedules, and condensate recovery management.
Apply safe standard operating procedures for plant startup, shutdown, emergency response, steam turbine dispatch, and refrigeration cycle monitoring.
